What is MTC?

Traditional Chinese Medicine is defined by a set of ancient medical techniques of oriental origin (not only from China) that aim to treat and prevent chronic and acute diseases of any nature. It is also used as a tool for those looking for well-being, relaxation and/or inner discovery (Mindfulness). Each of these techniques has an endless number of varieties and it was not until the 1950s that TCM was actually “created” as a unified area of health. In this “modern” version of TCM techniques such as Acupuncture, Phytotherapy and Tui Na Massage are included, although many schools and professionals end up acquiring more techniques for use in a clinical context.

What can I treat with TCM?

Tratar MTC

Traditional Chinese Medicine has the potential to treat any condition that does not involve the imminent need for surgical intervention. Despite this, the exclusive use of TCM in oncological or extreme cases is not recommended. This is due to the great clinical complexity of cancer cases, as well as the risks associated with any practice that does not have imaging methods or clinical analysis. Regarding acupuncture in particular, it is scientifically proven to treat more than 200 health conditions, among them are. Low back pain, Asthma, Anxiety and various gynecological conditions.

Do Treatments Cause Pain?

The techniques applied in the treatments - especially massage and other manual techniques - have an intensity that varies depending on the patient's condition and tolerance, therefore, the well-being and comfort of the patient is always imperative in any type of treatment.

Regarding acupuncture, the insertion of the needle into the skin is always done through techniques that minimize the stinging sensation as much as possible, and an unusual sensation can still be felt when the needles are stimulated at the acupuncture points.
